“Absolutely Perfect” So glad we found this amazing spot, the perfect place to stay in Kelowna! Mark and Hayley were incredible hosts, they really make you feel at home. They are not only fun and friendly, but very willing to help you get the most out of your trip by sharing great tips on restaurants and attrations. The room was fresh and clean, and we had access to an outdoor area which included the use of a hot-tub and rooftop patio area with a view of the beach. The location was perfect, literally steps to the beach, and just a short walk to the downtown area for bars/restaurants. To top it all off, each morning Hayley’s breakfasts were absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for making our trip so special!

Great place, great location, great room and great breakfast.
A recent Canada expedition took us on an 11 stop adventure across Alberta and British Columbia which just had to include a visit to the Okanagan Valley in order to discover some Canadian wine.
‘At the Beach’ was a wonderful find and Mark and Hayley made us both welcome and their house is in such a great location being close to the beach, close to the walkway into central Kelowna whilst being in a residential area.
The breakfasts were incredible.
Must just also mention our visit to Cedar Creek vineyard for a tour / sampling /lunch (stunning views and great wine/food) and if you do venture further south to the Okanagan Falls area, you must visit the Painted Rock vineyard even if its just for the views and the wonderful tasting room (I purchased a bottle of their ‘Icon’ red wine and fortunately it survived the journey home and is now sitting on my ‘good’ wine rack).
If you are into wine then the wine museum in Kelowna has a good selection and the staff were very knowledgeable on the regions wines (look out for the Pinot Noir from Arrowleaf which was good value and one of our favourites)
Many thanks to Mark and Hayley for sharing their home with us for a couple of nights.

Just spent a great few days in Kelowna. What a fantastic place to visit. My stay was all the more pleasant because of my decision to stay with Mark and Hayley at their B and B. Great accommodations, sumptuous breakfasts, a hop, skip and a jump to the beach, short walk to downtown, relaxing hot tub, plus very gracious and knowledgeable hosts. Hope that I have an opportunity to visit again soon.

At The Beach is a fabulous place to stay. The beds were comforatble and the bathroom very modern and clean. There were laundry facilities too which was brilliant as I have two children who loved the beach! There were a couple room where we could watch tv and play games (electronic and non electronic). Further up the corridor there was a quiet room were you could sit and read (and aircon! so it was coooooolll in the summer – ahhh). There was freedom to come and go as you please. The owners, Mark and Haley, are wonderful people, welcoming us with glass of wine. They were very helpful, guiding us to places to visit and eat.The breakfast are amazing and we certainly didnt need lunch as there was sooooo much food. Their children were great hosts too which won the hearts of amani and isa. The house is a 10 second walk to the beach (thats with excited children!) and ten minutes walk to town where there are many restaurents to suit every budget. There are also supermarkets 5 minutes drive from the house. We stayed for 4 nights in august 2010 and we didnt want to leave!! I would highly recommend this place to stay! Thanks for looking after us so well. we will definately return if you are not booked up!:)

We were greeted with a lovely welcome which made us feel at home straight away. The accomodation and location are excellent. Its such a relaxing spot but with loads to do if you want to. You are free to come and go as you please and use the hot tub and lounge on the deck like one of the family. Hayley and Mark are excellent hosts,so friendly and helpful. It was the best place we stayed at in Canada and gave us a truly great end to our holiday. Highly recommended.

We were looking for a residentially located place to stay in Kelowna where our children would be welcome and we could easily walk to the beach.
Mark and Hayley’s At the Beach Bed and Breakfast was perfect!! The location was excellent – several times a day we went down to the quiet beach to build sand castles, and we were able to easily walk downtown.
But the best part was the hospitality Mark and Hayley and their family showed us!! Even though it was our first visit, it felt more like visiting friends than going to a B&B!! They were so helpful, spending time with us, always cheerfully answering questions about local places, and even including us in a biking outing. There were beach toys and board games for the children, and during the times we were inside, we were welcome in a very spacious area of their home. And each day we awoke to a different breakfast – they were delicious, Hayley!!
We had a wonderful stay and would recommend At the Beach Bed and Breakfast to anyone, and especially families with children! Thanks Mark and Hayley for welcoming us into your home and making our stay so much fun!

We had another excellent stay with Hayley and Mark. This is the 4th time that we have booked with the Bouchers and they are like family to us because they always make us feel so special. As usual, their prestigious home is spotless, warm and welcoming. The property’s location is perfect – once you’re here, you don’t even need a vehicle as you have full access to the private beach and lake, beautiful downtown restaurants, parks and activities. If you have a vehicle, there is a lot of free residential parking – we parked our 2 full-size pick-ups there without a problem. I recommend this property for families, couples or anyone who wants to enjoy excellent hospitality – At the Beach Bed and Breakfast is set up for it all! Thanks for making this particular visit so special, Mark and Hayley. The tooth fairy pillow for our son’s missing baby tooth and the Kinder Surprises were a nice touch!

Mark & Hayley – I just added your email address to my online directory and thought I’d take a moment to tell you again what a fabulous time we had staying with you in early July. My kids are still on the path for buying the place at Silverstar, so the next time I come you way, I’ll let you know. Thanks for the wonderful evening chat on your rooftop deck and big breakfast for all my family and just for being so darn friendly.

When we arrived at At the Beach Bed and Breakfast, we were met by Hayley’s warm smile and excitement to show us around – her home was perfect for us. We were shown to a master bedroom with an ensuite. We had our own entrance and could come and go as we pleased. Everything was extremely clean and we also had full access to a family room, kitchen and laundry room (a blessing when you’re travelling with children). In the family room Hayley had board games, toys, a television with access to lots of channels and use of Xbox for older kids. It was very spacious. Hayley’s home is very modern and appealing to the eye. We also had access to the outside yard, hottub, bbq and deck. For $150 per night, we will not be staying at The Grand again. I haven’t even mentioned the food yet!Breakfast was as delicious as you could imagine – wonderful omelettes, homemade hashbrowns, toast, LOTS of fruit, and homemade strawberry and rhubarb jam made by her husband. We also had full use of Hayley’s kitchen where we could fix our own snacks and meals at any time. We used her fridge to store our cold drinks and yogurts – again, something very handy when travelling with young children. Hayley (and her husband Mark, who was out of town) have two wonderful teenage children who were very personable and accommodating to us – often found to be entertaining our children as well – we really felt part of their family. Now, here is the bonus – because Hayley works shift work at the hospital, she is not always present for breakfast, even though we have full access to the kitchen to help ourselves to the food. However, Hayley cooked us not only one but TWO gourmet dinners which were delicious and very kid-friendly. A homemade Indian curry was simmering all day for us to look forward to one evening, along with a very tasty homemade lasagna on the next evening. Hayley went above and beyond during every aspect of our stay.As for our personal master bedroom, it was very spacious. It has a comfortable queen bed with lovely bedding. Hayley had set up two beds for our young children right beside our bed and it was still very spacious for us. If for some reason we preferred privacy or more space, Hayley offered us her daughter’s room, however we didn’t need it. The bathroom was sufficient for our needs – very clean with lots of hot running water. The towels were the fluffiest and most absorbent that I have ever had – I forgot to ask Hayley what her secret was.If I haven’t sold you enough on At the Beach Bed and Breakfast, I will now describe the location. It is extremely handy, right in the centre of Kelowna only a few minutes to all the downtown amenities, restaurants, parks and nightlife. The beach is only a few steps away and then you can walk for miles along trails and paths right into the main beach in Kelowna. At first I thought that there would be traffic noise from the bridge or downtown, but we did not hear a thing. This is a very quiet, private residential neighbourhood full of immaculate homes and prestigious properties. There is a lot of free parking too – something that is rare to find so close to downtown Kelowna. We will definitely be back again soon. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast to families, couples, seniors (there are no stairs) – absolutely anyone who would like good value for their money in a prestigious yet family-oriented home. We now consider the home of the Bouchers our first choice to stay in Kelowna – next time we’ll get to meet Mark too – he was the maker of the delicious homemade strawberry/rhubarb jam.
As an added bonus, Hayley provided our children with parting gifts of toys/colouring “for the road”. The children were so grateful and pleased to be thought of in such a special way.
Thank you, Hayley – we really had a wonderful stay at your lovely home.

We were very pleased with our stay with Mark and Haley and their children. Their home is very clean, the room was clean and comfortable, and you could not ask for more friendlier people. They could not do enough to make you feel more than welcome, and a part of their family. We highly recommend this accomodation to anyone that likes a quiet relaxing place. I rate this a 5 star. Thanks for your hospitality Mark and Haley.
